Le sable jaune est fertile et facile \u00e0 travailler, retient l\u2019humidit\u00e9 et permet un bon d\u00e9veloppement des racines. Le coteau assure un bon drainage et la for\u00eat environnante cr\u00e9e un microclimat parfait. Il a \u00e9tudi\u00e9 la chimie \u00e0 Ostende. L\u2019id\u00e9e de se lancer dans une carri\u00e8re dans la viticulture lui est venue en 2019. Il a alors effectu\u00e9 un stage de 180 heures au domaine viticole Monteberg et suivi une formation de viticulteur-viniculteur au centre de formation Syntra West. C\u2019est \u00e0 cette \u00e9poque qu\u2019a m\u00fbri le projet de planter un vignoble. Un projet qu\u2019il a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 en 2020 avec la plantation de 3 600 pieds de vigne.<\/p>\n<p>Simon Riquiere et son \u00e9pouse Joke Lemenu sont \u00e9galement les initiateurs de la boutique en ligne <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wijnenuitheuvelland.be\">www.wijnenuitheuvelland.be<\/a> qui promeut les vins du Heuvelland. Cela signifie notamment que les vins du Heuvelland peuvent uniquement \u00eatre produits \u00e0 partir de<strong> raisins cultiv\u00e9s localement<\/strong>. Le terroir unique conf\u00e8re aux vins du Heuvelland un caract\u00e8re marqu\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Seuls des c\u00e9pages fran\u00e7ais sont cultiv\u00e9s dans le domaine\u00a0:\u00a0<strong>chardonnay, auxerrois, pinot blanc, pinot noir, sauvignon blanc et pinot meunier.<\/strong> Compte tenu du terroir riche, Simon a s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 comme porte-greffe le <strong>Couderc 3309 <\/strong>et la vari\u00e9t\u00e9 SO4. Le climat a orient\u00e9 le choix vers des vari\u00e9t\u00e9s classiques.<\/p>\n<p>Simon donne un mot d\u2019explication\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Certaines vari\u00e9t\u00e9s ont besoin d\u2019une certaine quantit\u00e9 d\u2019ensoleillement pour pouvoir m\u00fbrir. \u00c9tant donn\u00e9 que le climat m\u00e9diterran\u00e9en se d\u00e9place dans notre direction, j\u2019ai choisi les <strong>vari\u00e9t\u00e9s typiques de la Champagne<\/strong>. Dans cette r\u00e9gion, il fait trop chaud pour le pinot noir, alors que notre climat est id\u00e9al pour cultiver ce c\u00e9page. Le pinot blanc (vari\u00e9t\u00e9 blanche du pinot noir), le pinot meunier et le chardonnay se d\u00e9veloppent \u00e9galement tr\u00e8s bien chez nous. Le pinot auxerrois perd rapidement ses acides lors de la maturation. Je laisse ce processus se produire pour le m\u00e9langer ensuite \u00e0 du pinot blanc qui conserve magnifiquement bien ses acides.\u00a0\u00bb[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column css=\u00a0\u00bb.vc_custom_1685000596460{margin-top: 50px !important;}\u00a0\u00bb][vc_column_text]\u00ab\u00a0Le sauvignon blanc a \u00e9t\u00e9 plant\u00e9 \u00e0 titre d\u2019essai. Cette vari\u00e9t\u00e9 n\u00e9cessite plus d\u2019ensoleillement. En cultivant ce vignoble test, nous \u00e9valuons si le sauvignon blanc peut m\u00fbrir dans le Heuvelland. Le rendement est tr\u00e8s faible avec ce c\u00e9page. Nous obtenons une tr\u00e8s haute qualit\u00e9.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Le domaine compte actuellement un peu plus de 11 000 pieds de vigne, \u00e0 savoir\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"disc\">\n<li>1950 Auxerrois<\/li>\n<li>2200 Pinot Blanc<\/li>\n<li>1700 Pinot Meunier<\/li>\n<li>1800 Pinot Noir<\/li>\n<li>650 Sauvignon Blanc<\/li>\n<li>3100 Chardonnay<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nous sommes \u00e9galement actifs ailleurs.
