Heerlyckheyt Roonen Bergh is located on the flanks of the Rodeberg. It has the typical soil of iron sandstone and loam. This sandstone retains the heat, which promotes the ripening of the grapes. The loam is fertile, easy to work with, moisture retaining and rootable. The slope then ensures good drainage. The surrounding forest creates a perfect microclimate. This unique soil and specific location form the perfect terroir for planting a vineyard and vinifying it into wine. Only classic French grape varieties will be used for planting. Our choice fell on Chardonnay, Auxerrois, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon blanc. 12500 vines will be planted on the domain.
